At the core of this curation is a structural resonance between the historical avant-garde and contemporary figuration. The presentation juxtaposes the raw, existential etchings of Spanish master Antoni Tàpies with the monumental, color-field compositions of Harry Rüdham.

Tàpies, a pioneer of European Art Informel and Pintura de Materia, utilizes intuitive specks, incised lines, and spontaneous markings as formal indicators of cosmic and material reality. His gestures operate as signs of a non-representational, deeply spiritual language.

In a captivating stylistic inversion, contemporary artist Harry Rüdham adopts this vocabulary of visual fragmentation but reintroduces a rigorous narrative structure. What appears from a distance to be a constellation of painterly marks reveals itself upon closer inspection as meticulously hand-cut, microscopic swarms of human silhouettes. Rüdham translates the accidental, emotive impulse of mid-century abstraction into an obsessive, meditative investigation of contemporary alienation and human collectivity.
